Philadelphia & Vicinity Club Management Association

FAQs

To be eligible for membership in CMAA, a person must be connected with the management of clubs. Every CMAA member must simultaneously belong to a local chapter, such as PVCMA, based upon the location of the club manager’s place of employment.
No. Membership in CMAA and your local chapter is dual and simultaneous.
In general, the Philadelphia & Vicinity chapter encompasses the Philadelphia metropolitan area in Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey, as well as the entire state of Delaware. If you are unsure if your club is within these boundaries, please submit an inquiry with your club's address to CMAA at Member Inquiry. Local chapter membership is based on your place of employment, not your home address.
Follow the step-by-step instructions in the How to Become a Member section or Request Membership Information to be contacted by our Managing Director.

All CMAA membership applications are to be sent to the local chapter in which your club resides. Once you have determined that your club is located within the Philadelphia & Vicinity Chapter, please mail your completed application, along with two dues checks (one payable to CMAA and one payable to PVCMA) to the following address:

PVCMA
P.O. Box 226
Bryn Mawr, PA 19010
Upon receipt, PVCMA will process your application and local dues payment. A copy of your application and your payment of national dues will be forwarded to CMAA. Both organizations will then send you letters of welcome by email. If you do not receive a letter of welcome or email communication within fourteen days of mailing your application, please contact PVCMA's Executive Director at (203) 61-PVCMA.

When a PVCMA member transfers to a new position outside of the boundaries of the Philadelphia & Vicinity chapter, they must complete and submit a Chapter Transfer Request Form to the Managing Director of their new chapter. Please submit an inquiry to CMAA at Member Inquiry to determine the chapter to which your membership will be assigned.

Club professionals who are members of other chapters are welcome to join PVCMA as “Friends of the Chapter” and enjoy many of the benefits of being members of our chapter, including reduced rates for events and communications about local chapter activities. If you are interested in becoming involved in this way, please click on Request Member Information, complete the form and indicate your interest in becoming a friend.

Club managers who simply wish to attend events on occasion may register and pay the non-member price, typically a $10 surcharge per event.

Vendors serving the club business are not eligible to become members but may participate in some PVCMA activities. For more information, or to be added to our vendor contact list, please click on Request Information, complete the form and indicate your interest in vendor relations.
